Nsight is committed to growing our business in a thoughtful, forward-thinking and, above all, caring way. Guided by the belief that we must give back to the communities we are privileged to serve, Nsight is actively involved in and supports organizations that embody our company's values and extend our mission.

Each year Nsight touches thousands of lives through in-kind and monetary donations to a wide variety of nonprofit agencies and local organizations. In 2014 we were proud to support over 535 programs, projects and initiatives that positively impacted the residents of Northeast and Central Wisconsin and our service area in Michigan's Upper Peninsula.

We were proud to increase total community giving by almost 5 percent in 2014 as compared to the previous year. At Nsight, our corporate responsibility is built for you.

Key Areas of Focus

Nsight is a champion for the following key areas:

Children and Education

The well-being of our community and the economy depends on education and continued learning. As a technology-based company, we are a committed advocate for getting the latest technological advances into classrooms and enhancing education and learning for all students. Nsight believes that providing these tools will inspire innovation and increase academic achievement.

Project Innovate

In 2014 we were proud to partner with local schools and passionate teachers to bring the latest technological advances to area students through a variety of initiatives. For its fifth year, Cellcom offered Project Innovate to all public and private high schools in Brown County. Eleven schools chose to participate in the community voting challenge and Pulaski High School earned the grand prize of $30,000 for the purchase of classroom technology. Bayport High School received $15,000 as the first place winner and De Pere High School won $5,000 for second place.

Scholarships

Nsight also supported students directly through 24 scholarships totalling $21,000. Cellcom awarded 16 scholarships to high school seniors across all of our wireless markets. Nsight Telservices offered two scholarships to seniors who served as Pulaski News editors, and four scholarships to Niagara, Florence, Oconto and Oconto Falls high school seniors. One graduating high school student received a $1000 scholarship to NWTC and a paid summer internship at Nsight to study in a chosen technical field.

Health and Wellness

Nsight supports organizations dedicated to the physical and emotional well-being of people of all ages. This includes social service programs that serve the underprivileged, senior citizens, children, minorities and disabled individuals, as well as organizations focusing on illness prevention.

Cellcom Green Bay Marathon

Our signature event, the Cellcom Green Bay Marathon (CGBM), provides thousands of participants the opportunity to set personal fitness goals as well as the training and support to help achieve them. Proceeds from the event benefit three local charities each year. In 2014 the CGBM generated $140,000 in proceeds for its charity partners: Family Services, Junior Achievement and Cerebral Palsy. In its 15-year history, the CGBM has donated a total of $916,000 to local charities. The estimated economic impact of the three-day marathon weekend is more than $1.8 million. The annual event requires thousands of volunteers and Nsight employees play an integral role in the marathon's success. In 2014, Nsight employees 358 hours to the event over the marathon weekend.

Fox Cities Marathon

Cellcom was proud to be the official technology sponsor of the Fox Cities Marathon for the sixth consecutive year. In 2014, Cellcom donated $42,317 in equipment and labor to support the event

The Environment

Nsight is committed to protecting and preserving the environment by donating to environmental education and green organizations, carrying eco-friendly devices, encouraging our customers to switch to paperless billing and taking steps internally to reduce our carbon foot print. We support recycling, conservation, proper use of land and energy efficiency.

In 2014 a total of $32,000 was awarded to 26 local organizations through Cellcom Green Gifts. Awards are made to non-profits dedicated to sustainability and the preservation of our wildlife habitats, as well as other organizations with a focus on environmental stewardship. This is the fifth year that Cellcom donated its recycling funds to green non-profit initiatives in an effort to complete the green cycle that starts with consumers being environmentally conscious and donating their devices.
